Amsterdam, September 9th, 2005 – Today, broadcast technology innovators, Evolution Broadcast, announced the launch of Nexus HD. Nexus HD is a major enhancement to the standard definition offering that was so well received the previous year. The launch of a HD version was timed to coincide with the worldwide move to high definition video production. Nexus HD will handle either high definition or standard definition video and was packaged at IBC 2005 in a fly away configuration to highlight its flexibility & portability. The Nexus software is deployed on industrial-grade, single board processors and is based on the Windows™ XP Embedded operating system to ensure minimal system complexity. A considerable level of electronics and software development has been undertaken to produce an intuitive interface for live broadcast production. The Evolution Nexus HD breaks new ground in performance and efficiency in HD broadcast production. Designed for multi-camera productions in studio, outside broadcast and fly-away environments, the Nexus is a range of innovative tools that not only allow users to operate more efficiently - they support the easier creation and more reliable execution of high-end production effects.
